Disulfamide is an orally active carbonic anhydrase inhibitor with an IC50 value of 0.07 ?M. Disulfamide has a diuretic effect by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase and preventing the reabsorption of sodium and bicarbonate in the proximal convoluted tubules.
