Novel chaperone-mediated autophagy (CMA) activator, dysregulating the repressive function of retinoic acid receptor-alpha over the CMA machinery, inducing the significant upregulation of megalin expression in cystinotic PTCs, rescuing the defective trafficking phenotype in CTNS-KO PTCs thus favoring a net and significant increment in Rab11 transpor
