Overview
Cynaropicrin, a sesquiterpene lactone found in artichoke (Cynara scolymus), has anti-hepatitis C and trypanosome activity and inhibits NF-?B activation. Cynaropicrin disrupts microtubulin- and c-Myc-related signaling and induces parthanatos-type cell death in multiple myeloma.
