Imatinib (STI571) is a multi-targeted receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor that selectively inhibits the kinase activities of BCRABL, v-Abl, PDGFR, and c-kit with oral activity. Imatinib has antitumor activity for the treatment of chronic granulocytic leukemia.
