Suksdorfin has hypoglycemic effects, promotes adipocyte differentiation and enhances lipocalin production, activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPAR?), promotes insulin-dependent glucose uptake by adipocytes, and can be used to study obesity.
