Cell Details

Small intestine is located in the abdomen, the upper end is connected to the pylorus and the stomach is connected, and the lower end is connected to the large intestine through the cardia. It is the main place for food digestion and absorption. The small intestine is generally divided into three segments according to the shape and structural changes, namely the duodenum, jejunum and ileum.

The structure of the small intestine wall is generally divided into 4 layers, from the outside to the inside: serosal layer, smooth muscle layer, submucosa and mucosa. The mucosal layer is further divided into three layers: close to the submucosa is a layer of smooth muscle called the mucosal muscle layer. Followed by connective tissue, also known as the lamina propria. Finally, facing the intestinal lumen is a layer of columnar epithelial cells composed of mucosa. The small intestine mucosa has longitudinal and transverse wrinkles, and there are numerous tiny finger-like protrusions called fluff. The mucosa at the base of the villi is trapped in a tubular shape called the Libe's crypt. Epithelial cells at the base of the crypt continue to undergo mitosis, producing new cells. There are also many goblet cells in the crypt epithelium, which secrete mucus, which acts as a slippery food and protects the mucous membranes.

Cell Characteristics

1) The cells are derived from human normal intestinal tissue.
2) Cell identification: broad-spectrum keratin (PCK) immunofluorescence staining was positive.
3) The purity of the identified cells is higher than 90%.
4) Does not contain HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
5) Cell growth mode: epithelioid, polygonal cells, adherent culture.

Transportation and Preservation

Depending on the weather conditions and the distance of transportation, the company negotiates with the customer and chooses one of the following methods.

1) 1mL of frozen cell suspension is placed in a 1.8mL cryotube and placed in a foam incubator filled with dry ice for transport; after receiving the cells, thaw the resuscitated cells as soon as possible for culture. If resuscitation is not possible immediately, Cryopreserved cells can be stored at -80°C for 1 month.
2) T-25 culture flask is filled with complete medium and then transported at room temperature. After receiving the cells, please observe the growth state of the cells under a microscope. If the bottle filling rate exceeds 85%, please carry out the subculture immediately. If there are more cells in suspension, allow the flask to stand overnight in the incubator to help the undead suspension cells to reattach.
