Cell Details
The ureter is connected to the renal pelvis and the lower bladder. It is a pair of slender tubes with a flat cylindrical shape with an average diameter of 0.5-0.7 cm. The adult ureter is 25-35 cm in length and is located retroperitoneally and descends vertically along the anterior aspect of the medial aspect of the psoas muscle into the pelvis. The ureteral wall is composed of three layers of tissue. The outermost fascia tissue surrounds the entire renal pelvis and ureter, which is rich in blood vessels and nerve fibers; the middle is a three-layer muscle with a medial and lateral muscle, the middle layer is a ring muscle; the innermost is a mucosal layer, and the renal pelvis And the bladder mucosa is coherent. The submucosa is rich in reticular lymphatic vessels, which is one of the ways of kidney infection and bladder infection.
The ureteric epithelium is the basis of ureteral biology research. The ureteral mucosal surface is a transitional epithelium with approximately 4-5 layers of cells. The study of ureteric epithelium is a very popular direction in the study of urothelial tumors, the study of ureteral injury and some tissue engineering studies.
Cell Characteristics
1) The cells are derived from normal human ureter tissue.
2) Cell identification: broad-spectrum keratin ( PCK ) immunofluorescence staining was positive.
3) The purity of the identified cells is higher than 90% .
4) Does not contain HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
5) Cell growth mode: epithelioid, polygonal cells, adherent culture.
Transportation and Preservation
Depending on the weather conditions and the distance of transportation, the company negotiates with the customer and chooses one of the following methods.
1) 1mL of frozen cell suspension is placed in a 1.8mL cryotube and placed in a foam incubator filled with dry ice for transport; after receiving the cells, thaw the resuscitated cells as soon as possible for culture. If resuscitation is not possible immediately, Cryopreserved cells can be stored at -80°C for 1 month.
2) T-25 culture flask is filled with complete medium and then transported at room temperature. After receiving the cells, please observe the growth state of the cells under a microscope. If the bottle filling rate exceeds 85%, please carry out the subculture immediately. If there are more cells in suspension, allow the flask to stand overnight in the incubator to help the undead suspension cells to reattach.
