Alert: If you want to make a solution with a solvent (such DMSO), please add instructions in the notes section (such as 10 nM/1 mL in DMSO) and we will pack and deliver the product as a solution (such as 10 nM solution in 1 mL DMSO). If the product cannot be dissolved in DMSO or you would like to specify your own preferred solvent, please add detailed instructions in the notes section. All solutions must be shipped with an ice bag, costing an additional fee of $20 for S&H.
80023-RNAE
Activity: (1) Measured in a cell proliferation assay using D10.G4.1 mouse helper T cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 30-120 pg/mL. (2) Measured by its ability to induce Interferon gamma secretion by human natural killer lymphoma NK-92 cells. The EC50 for this effect is typically 20-100ng/mL.

Molecular Weight | The mature form of recombinant rat IL1B comprises 153 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 17.4 kDa. The apparent molecular mass of the protein is approximately 35 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions. |
Storage Condition | Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -70℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. |
Purity | 98% as determined by SDS-PAGE |
Protein Construction: A DNA sequence encoding the mature form of rat IL1B (Q63264-1) (Val 117-Ser 268) was expressed and purified.
Reconstitution: A hardcopy of COA with reconstitution instruction is sent along with the products. Please refer to it for detailed information.
IL-1 Background Information: Interleukin-1 beta (IL1 beta or IL1B) also known as catabolin, is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. IL1 is a pleiotropic cytokine. It is involved in the inflammatory response, cell growth, and tissue repair in the cortex. The IL1 superfamily consists of three members, IL1A (IL1 alpha), IL1B (IL1 beta), and IL1 receptor antagonist (IL1Ra). In clinical, it has been reported that Interleukin (IL)-1 may influence Th1 / Th2 immune responsiveness and has been implicated in the establishment of successful pregnancy. Proinflammatory interleukin (IL)-1 gene polymorphisms associated with high levels of IL-1beta activity increase the risk for hypochlorhydria and distal gastric carcinoma. IL1B polymorphisms may be involved in susceptibility to SSc. Moreover, the IL2-384-G allele may be a marker for the limited phenotype of systemic sclerosis (SSc).References:
