Acetyl Ser-Asp-Lys-Pro is formed in bone marrow cells by enzymatic processing of thymosin ?4. It inhibits the entry of pluripotent hemopoietic stem cells into S-phase of the cell cycle and protects against Ara-C lethality in mice.
