N-Dodecyl-?-D-maltoside (Lauryl Maltoside) is an alkyl maltopyranoside detergent, particularly useful in transporters and respiratory complexes. It is a derivative of pyrene (Py) and has applications in the purification and stabilization of RNA polymerase, as well as the detection of protein-lipid interactions.
